That kid needs clothes!!!!!!!!!!! well I do not know were this ws taken or when but It seems like it was taken during a war and they are either trying to evacuate them safely or they are trying to trick them into their deaths.

This picture is very scary and once again it also showes oppression of others. It brings a sense of sympathy towards them. The faces leave an everlasting impression.

the photo is depressing and it makes me angry because no one is helping the children.
i have no background info about the history of the photo.

in my opinion the picture seems a bit of depression. it looks like to me they are running away from the war. it looks like the children had either lost their parents and are looking for them or it looks like if the soilders are pushing them to go somewhere else.

Mrs.ravenswood why these photos?

Children suffering because of the war. They have lost their parents and have no one to turn to; they have lost everything.

I've seen this picture before. For me this is evidence of why war shpuld not exist. It doesnt just affect the soilders it affects innocent children that have nothing to do with war at all. This photo really scares me and i want to clothe this little girl and give her a hug

this photograph is very depressing. It shows how much poverty and suffering goes on in the world that we arent even aware of.

Very painful image to look at. It reminds me of Vietnam during wartime or one of the scenes from The Joy Luck Club when people were fleeing. There's something about seeing a child in pain that is just beyond hurtful.

in this picture i see that the kids are horrifed by the events happening. i think that its the explotion of the bomb in japan or the war. it makes me feel sad because we take alot of things for granted when this happening around us.

Also...I wonder if the person who had the audacity to take this picture was doing it as a form of mockery (sp?)or just a passionate photographer.

This picture is extremly depressing. The army men have created somewhat of a barrier and are forcing these children this way. I am not sure of what happened before this photo was taken, but I wonder what happened to their parents. Were they killed? Were they forced a separate way? Were the children orphaned before this scene happened because of the war? In a way, this reminds me of 9/11 with the smoke coming towards them and everyone being sent a certain way. If you got caught in the smoke *poof* you were gone. I wonder is the fear was the same or greater for these children.

Mrs.ravenswood why these photos?"

We have to see and respond to these photos because they are a part of history and history is not always happy and cheerful.
